What responsibilities do people have to animals?
To pets people have to care for them, feed them and walk them daily.
For wild animals like endangered species people have to stop killing them.

What is the authors point of view?
The Author of the " Ending 'Shamu' stunts isn't enough to protect whales, activists say" article thinks that SeaWorld is trying to expand the whales tank and make everything better but that won't help the whales and need to go further. One example is "SeaWorld earlier this year announced that it will spend $100 million to expand the killer whale tanks in San Diego. Another example is "SeaWorld head Joel Manby said the park will offer a different kind of orca experience, starting in 2017. It will focus on whales' natural environment and how they behave in the wild. The last example is "Representative Adam Schiff of California plans to introduce a law to end breeding orcas in captivity. He said ending the shows is a good first step but doesn't go far enough".

What is the authors point of view?
The Author of the "Endangered whale may be safer in an aquarium" thinks that the whales are safer in the tanks at SeaWorld than outside because they are endangered and are safe from prey. An example is "Yes whales are kept in captivity, but their are many reasons why they are and how it's safer here than outside."
